Jacob & Co unveil the special edition Art Moscow and the one-off Art India
When it comes to horological art, Jacob is your go-to name
Jacob & Co was founded in 1986 by Uzbek-American jeweler Jacob Arabo. The brand is well known for its mad and elaborately designed timepieces that often look like artwork rather than just a tool to tell the time. As part of their Astronomia collection, Jacob has recently released two limited edition pieces dedicated to the city of Moscow and the country of India. They respectively called the Art Moscow and Art India.
The Art Moscow and Art India literally include handcrafted and hand manufactured miniature reproductions of famous landmarks of these two places.
The Astronomia Art Moscow features Saint Basil’s Cathedral, the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, the Bolshoi Theatre, and the Hotel Ukraina.
The Astronomia Art India is a one-off piece, piece unique as they are known in the watch world, specifically created for a "one particular client". It features miniature replicas of the Taj Mahal, the Qutub Minar, the Lotus Temple and the India Gate. All these miniatures are hand made, hand engraved and hand painted. The watch is powered by Jacob's flagship Astronomia Double-Axis Tourbillon movement.
