Jaguar confirms the redesigned F-Type for December release
Seven years after its original launch at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, Jaguar have decided to restyle the much loved F-Type. The iconic British marque released a video teaser to confirm that the second edition of the sportscar will be unveiled on 2nd December.
English Magazine Auto Express published a series of renders that suggest what the next iteration would look like.
A significantly remodelled front end appears more angled and aggressive, added to by the narrower headlights, lowered grille and swooping bonnet.
Inside the cabin, the restyled F-Type will play the technology card by receiving the latest evolution of the homemade infotainment system. In addition to being larger and more responsive, the screen will offer additional features. The digital instrumentation cluster will also be part of the program.
Under the hood, the restyled F-Type could receive new engines. In-line six engines would replace the current V6s, and might be connected to an electric motor for conventional or mild hybridisation. Purists can be reassured, the 5.0L V8 and its epic sound will remain at the heart of the F-Type.
