Jaguar Land Rover Are Preparing For a Silent And Electrifyingly Exciting Future!

The company's plans and future cars revealed!

Electric cars have been the talk of the automotive world for several years now. But it is in these past months when car brands started telling the world their plans in regard to this issue. Big brands like Ferrari and Lamborghini have said that they will not make electric cars. This is a controversial matter and these companies have taken their stance. The other notable company to make a stand is Jaguar, but they went a completely different way.

Not only is Jaguar starting to take their old cars and making them electric such as this E-type looking, battery-powered masterpiece, the E-type Zero. The sad unfortunate part is the Zero, which has a 40-kWh battery and range of 170 miles, and that goes from 0 to 60 mph in 5.5 just a concept. Meaning all those stats are useless and meaningless. Jag says it will “investigate bringing this concept to market,” I say, they'd better make it!

But Jaguar Land Rover’s have announced much more electricity for their future. They also announced that by 2020, every single model they make will have a hybrid option. The shift to electric will start next year when the Jaguar’s first fully electric SUV, the I-Pace, comes.

In addition to this, the car manufacturer also plans to make electric SUV racing series using 20 I-Pace SUVs. They plan to take the SUV's to their special vehicles operations unit to make the big family cars race ready. The series will race on the same tracks that Formula E competes on. It will have 10 races spread across Formula E’s fifth season, which starts in late 2018.

The company is clearly preparing as governments across the world start narrowing down on an electric future, and are being smart, showing everyone they will be a part of it.
