Jaguar's Fastest Four Door Feline Arrives in NZ

All-wheel-drive, 600hp 5.0-litre Supercharged V8, zero to 100km/h in 3.4 seconds, a top whack of 320km/h, and a laptime around the notorious Nurburgring of 7 min 21.23 seconds, the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is a smorgasbord of epic numbers, and great news for New Zealand Motorsport and Jag fans, the Project 8, which is the fastest production four-door sedan in the world, is now officially here.

With a starting price of $350,000, each of the 300 limited edition vehicles are hand-assembled and, have been described as the most powerful, agile and extreme performance Jaguar production car ever.

Jaguar Land Rover NZ general manager Steve Kenchington says they anticipate significant local interest from local enthusiasts.

“With a top speed of 320kmph, and a 5.0 litre supercharged V8 which can deliver maximum power of 600hp and torque of 700Nm, the Project 8 Supercar encapsulates Jaguar’s vision of the ultimate sports saloon

“News of the vehicle’s pending arrival here has seen buyer interest from around New Zealand and the retailer roadshow is expected to give more potential customers the opportunity to experience the new model first hand,” he says.

Kenchington says the XE SV Project 8 will make its first appearance in Auckland from today before making its way around the country on a Jaguar retailer roadshow as well as Jaguar Land Rover’s SVO Day in December and the Art of Performance Tour in mid-February.

“New Zealand customers that may be interested in purchasing this limited production model should contact their local authorised retailer to register their interest,” he says.

A limited number of pre-specified Project 8s are available for prospective buyers to purchase in most markets, subject to terms and conditions. Specifications of the vehicles have been selected based on the most popular choices.
