James May on why he doesn't want to appear on Clarkson's Farm
He said that if Clarkson and Hammond visited his workshop he'd "smack them over the head with a shovel and throw them out."
James May has revealed why he doesn't fancy making an appearance on Jeremy's new TV show Clarkson's Farm.
While speaking with LadBible, James explains why he isn't all that keen on appearing on the show despite many people saying he should.
"I don't think he should do that, I don't think he wants to anyway but it's not that kind of show. I think it's his farm and it's his thing and that's good. If I was doing a film about my workshop, I wouldn't want those two in it going 'oh I've literally broken it'. I'd smack them over the head with a shovel and throw them out," James said.
Also during the interview, James says he has in fact watched the show and found it very interesting, although he wouldn't want to do actual farming himself as he describes it as being 'big gardening'.
In addition to this, James spoke about his time with the other presenters and how Covid has affected the way they work together.
He said: "In our lives, generally, for the best part of 20 years now, there have been some years where I have spent more time with those two, and certainly more intense time with them almost 24 hours a day.
"That's more intense than I spend with people - like, you know, my brothers and sisters and Sarah and people of whom I have genuine love.
"So, no, we don't have much need to socialise and of course over the Covid period, we couldn't really socialise because that wasn't allowed."
It seems to be pretty clear that James May doesn't want to make an appearance on Clarkson's Farm but we wonder whether his camera-loving colleague, Hammond would?
