JDM Fan´s dream..the 900Hp/9.000Rpm GT500 bodied GT-R R34

Crazy GT-R´s from South Africa seem to be a trend.. One we approve and only want more.

This year´s edition of Knysna Simola Hillcimb in South Africa saw many new Monsters tipping their toes into Hillclimb racing "waters". Well, the Skyline R34 you are about to see rather stomped the door in its debut...

Built by the Van Zummeren family, it was raced by father Martin Van Zummeren. And boy, oh boy, what a machine this is. For all those reading, that had their petrolhead dreams fueled by the Gran Turismo games , this Monster seems tailor made to appease every wish one had when tuning those dominating Skyline GT-R R34 V-spec´s in the game.

Great shot isn´t it? Well, gotta thank Stefan Daniel Kotzé for it.. Find him at The Automotive Movement tribe

To put things into perspective and give an idea of how monstruous this machine is we´ll just leave a rather brief overview of its specs. We´re talking here about a highly tuned RB26DETT capable of around 900Hp/9.000Rpm, transfering this power to all 4 wheels through a Albins 6 speed sequential gearbox with paddle shift, Giken clutch, specially built LSD, with everything monitored and controlled by a Motec ECU.

No bad angle on this one..

Now, all the numbers and parts are certainly impressive, but the "cherry on the top of this JDM "cake" is the GT500 bodykit, matching the bodywork of such legends of Japanese motor racing like the Pennzoil Nismo GT-R or the Calsonic GT-R. All in all, this is as much of a "Tour de Force" as it is a Nostalgia Tour for many who enjoy this incredible Monster.

  • Hello app developers. It would be great to be able to watch the videos on wide angle by turning the phone, instead of a little video with so much available space. Thanks !
