Jeep Gladiator from Hot Wheels: the tiny Wrangler with a pickup bed

Complete with two bikes out back!

Here's another new casting that was too cool to leave behind on the pegs: the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. The long awaited Jeep pickup truck has made it all the way down to the Hot Wheels world, featuring two dirtbikes in the back. I could be wrong, but I feel like the dirtbikes are kind of a nod or throwback to the Hot Wheels trucks and SUVs I had as a kid. Just about every truck had some sort of offroad vehicle in the back, right?

I like it! I think it's a great design with lots of details, like the hinges on the doors, side mirrors, and vents in the hood. Mine looks like it has a bit of a casting error on the front fender, but other than that, the Jeep is pretty flawless. Even the two bikes have enough detail where even a notice customizer could make them pop with a couple sharpies. Hot Wheels even treated the iconic 7-slot grille with a bit of panel-wash to really make the lines and headlights pop.

Is that... Jake back there? But why?

  • I know the centre ridge on the wheels help keep it rolling, but it's still ugly. Otherwise, the whole casting is nothing short of incredible.

  • It's a great casting! I don't have that cool looking purple variation, but i have in sand drab and metallic green.
