Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk wins pointless drag race
The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is coming to the UK in limited numbers and Jeep thought it'd be an excellent idea to celebrate this with a drag race. This test shows off how fast the 707bhp super-SUV is against two other cars.
So what did the Jeep race against? A Range Rover SVR? A Lamborghini Urus? A Porsche Cayenne Turbo? Nope, it was none of those cars, even though the Trackhawk can be considered a rival to them. Jeep instead thought that the Trackhawk should race against a 1991 TVR Griffith and an Audi Quattro. Right then.

Results wise, the Trackhawk won...obviously. The Trackhawk did the 1/4 mile run in 11.48 seconds at 119mph which is impressive, to say the least. The TVR did it 13.81 seconds and the Audi did it in 18.48 seconds, with the trap speed of both the TVR and Audi being unmentioned by Jeep.
This drag race was part of the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk's UK launch which started last week. It's a bit weird that Jeep is showing off how fast the Trackhawk is with cars that are nearly 30 years old. This basically renders the drag race pointless due to the Jeep having way more power than both the TVR and Audi combined, AWD and more sophisticated components.
What do you think?
This is a pointless drag race in basically every way possible but I want to know what you think. Leave a comment down below with your thoughts.
