Jeep unveils new concept called Grand Wagoneer
After more than 3 decades of absence, the Wagoneer name is coming back.
The Jeep Wagoneer is not the first car that comes to mind when you think of the Jeep brand (although honestly, I don't know why you would be thinking about it at all), but this relatively unknown car was responsible for the creation of the luxury 4X4 niche and the SUV car category.
Now, the company has decided to revive the glorious name by unveiling a concept car called the Grand Wagoneer, which is set to be put into production in 2021, thus replacing the Grand Cherokee as Jeep's flagship model.
Although little is known about the car itself, the car will be come with a choice of three four-wheel drive systems; independent front and rear suspension and Jeep’s Quadra-Lift air suspension.

Technology-wise it's also mysterious, but the company has stated that the concept features a plug-in hybrid powertrain, so it's likely that there will be a PHEV variant of the Grand Wagoneer.
The car's design looks very modern, although the back reminds me more of a hearse than an attempt to revive the original SUV design. Overall, I'm very excited for what the Grand Wagoneer has to offer!
