The Grand Tour has produced some rather whacky creations in its two seasons, but The Excellent has to be the most talked buildabout after it's airing last year.
It was built from the powertrain of a Land Rover Discovery and the body and luxury of a Mercedes SL. And while it was a piece of engineering genius (right?) it didn't sell when it was put in an auction.
So what happened to the famed car? Well, according to Clarkson's Instagram feed, he still owns the thing. He even drives it!
This photo shows his lovely girlfriend Lisa Hogan getting into the raised sports car (if you can call it that) after a football match. So obviously it's road legal and drivable. I'm sure after the fame it's gained after the airing of the show and people seeing it belonging to Clarkson, there wouldn't be any issues selling it now.
