Jeremy Clarkson has been making the rounds with his second wife Frances helping promote their daughter's new book, "Can I Speak to Someone In Charge?"

Emily and Co. looked proud as they celebrated the launch of the book at Daunt Books in London. "Can I Speak to Someone In Charge?" has been praised by critics, being described as a "fresh, modern take on feminism and life." The book gives a candid look at some of Emily's experiences growing up, including struggles with her weight and even an experience being catfished (which you can read below):

In addition to promoting his daughter's book, Jeremy also recounts a story of when Emily got into a bit of trouble with airport security at the Las Vegas airport. The then 18-year-old Emily was in the smoking lounge when she was asked for her ID, not for the smoking, mind you, but for being in an area with a gaming machine, which requires a user to be 21 years of age.

Jeremy recounts the situation here:

"A woman came in and said: 'I need to see some ID, ma'am. There's a gaming machine in this room.' Em listened to this and said: 'Oh, f**k off.' I thought: 'This is not going to end well.'

The next thing, three policemen had carted her off and she was in a bit of a panic. I had to step in. I did my usual 'Our young men and your young men' speech, where I go on about our great countries having fought together for freedom - even the freedom to have a cigarette. It always works with policeman.

They put their hands on their hearts, stand upright and then they let you go. I've got away with lots of speeding tickets with that speech. But telling everyone in America to f**k off when they've got a uniform on never ends well. She knows that now."

Sounds like the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree, eh? Next thing you know, Emily will be throwing fists over some food. I kid, I kid.

  • Emily has tried very hard to build her own career and wants to be recognised on her own merits. She's written a great book and Jeremy has helped with marketing it. Emily is not part of Drivetribe or the grand tour. Can we not include her on this site, unless she or her dad has given permission.

    • It's not like this tribe is tabloid reporting. They're just reiterating from the book. Drive Tribe is co-owned by Clarkson. It isn't wrong to have this on DT. I enjoy the updates from Clarkson and Co.

    • I sincerely doubt she'll have a problem with free advertising! I agree with Liberty White, its news of interest about the presenter, just like Mindy's response to Hammond's latest crash.
