Keen Project Safari 911: the ultimate daily driver
The Smoking Tire host Matt Farah purchased a perfect example of an air-cooled 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera earlier in the year. In a unique colour of Cassis Red with the sort after G50 gearbox, Matt's idea was to modify the 911 into a daily or streetable “Safari” car.
The 911 was modified by The Keen Project. The inspiration for Leh Keen, a racer and builder, was the Porsche 911 SC/RS of the mid-1980's. This is not Keen's first Safari Porsche Matt's car is Keen Project Safari build number 14.
As you can see modification along with the wild and colourful interior is pretty impressive and full of personality. The result is a 911 without the worries of maybe curbing a wheel or scratching the paint, whilst at the same time experiencing the classic 911 feel and the sound.
Watching Matt drive his Project Safari 911 it all starts to make sense. The Safari 911 is the ultimate daily driver.
