Kevin Magnussen's career initially looked very promising as he took second place with McLaren at the 2014 Australian Grand Prix. Unfortunately, in six years the Danish driver has never managed to have remarkable performances and this season will be the last in Formula 1.

The management of the Haas team has in fact decided to fire both him and Romain Grosjean to hire new drivers from the Ferrari Driver Academy. Magnussen initially sought an employment in Indycar, but the lack of adequate financial support did not allow him to be hired by any team.

Now it has been confirmed that the Danish driver will race in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar with the Cadillacs of the Chip Ganassi Racing team. His teammates in the Daytona Prototype International category will be Dutchman Renger van der Zande and New Zealander Scott Dixon.

Thanks to Valentina Zanola for the cooperation
