Introduction
Back in the 2000s Kia were making dismal cars for people who just wanted transportation from A to B and nothing else, however recently with the introduction of the Pro-Ceed GT and more recently the Stinger, Kia have started to make cars for enthusiasts, cars that are fast, sporty and fun.
Peformance
The Stinger GTS has a 3.6 V6 engine which produces 365BHP and 376nm of torque, this will take the car from 0-60 in 4.6 seconds and go on to a top speed of 168mph, which is the fastest Kia ever made.
Technology
The Stinger has plenty of Tech to keep you endorsed for a while. It has a lot of safety tech which includes a driver drowsiness system and an automatic braking system which stops the vehicle in case of an impact. Obviously, for a £40,000 car, it has Satellite Navigation, Climate Control and Leather Seats to keep you comfy while cruising.
Interior
The interior is very high quality, full of leather and soft plastic materials, the Stingers interior really does live up to its price. The only major gripe, is the screen, which looks stuck on and ugly.
Design
The Stinger GT was designed by Peter Schreyer. He has designed cars such as the Audi TT and the stinger's sister car, the Genesis G80. The Stinger is a stunning piece of design, the front incorporates Kia’s famous “Tiger Nose” Design which is carried on to the Stinger. The side profile is long and curvy and curved while the back is quite curvy and makes the car look aggressive.
Would I Buy One?
Well, yes. It lacks the fit and finish and the German build quality of BMW, Mercedes and Audi models, but the Stinger is a true driving enthusiasts car and it is also £5,000 less than its equivalent rivals with similar equipment, similar power and performance.
A Decently priced performance saloon that can haul the family, but can also put a smile on your face.
