The Kia Stinger is a proper entrant in the performance sedan class – but it's about to get even better for keen drivers that want to have a bit of fun. The Kia Stinger GTS is a new package on the car, and it offers Kia's new D-AWD system on cars with all-wheel-drive systems.
That system incorporates the optional all-wheel-drive system from the typical Stinger, but allows selective amounts of power to be sent to the rear wheels. Three modes determine the amount of power bias in the rear. Comfort mode sends 60 per cent of the power to the rear wheels, while Sport mode sends 80 per cent back, and Drift mode sends it all.
While the rear-wheel-drive Stinger is perfectly capable of drifting on its own, this package keeps the practicality with added fun.
But that's not all the GTS offers. The car receives a Harman/Kardon audio system and sunroof. In addition, "Stinger" script replaces the Kia logo on the rear, along with GTS badging. There are also carbon-fiber exterior pieces on the mirrors, grille, and side vents. Suede makes its way in on the steering wheel, center console, and headliner.
Kia prices the car at $44,995 for the RWD car and $47,495 for the D-AWD car. That's right in the middle of the Stinger range. So what do you think?
