K&N inspire a new generation of car enthusiasts to get under the hood

K&N sponsor DriveTribe's engineering section

K&N, the world’s leading manufacturer of automotive air filters and intake systems, have agreed a 12-month sponsorship programme across DriveTribe's Engineering vertical, a part of the platform dedicated to mechanical engineering and vehicle maintenance.

The Engineering vertical combines community postings with industry experts and social media influencers, providing a wealth of "how to" maintenance and modifying guides, as well as in-depth reviews of landmark vehicles and automotive technology.

Phil Swire, K&N’s Chief Marketing Officer said, “This year marks 50-years since we first pioneered our market leading High-Flow Air Filter. Since then we’ve grown into a world-class automotive technology group selling some 10 thousand different parts in over 90-countries. Our partnership with DriveTribe provides an environment where we can connect with a globally relevant audience of enthusiasts and bring to life the story behind our products and history.”

“With more and more users getting advice from online instructional videos, DriveTribe also provides a targeted distribution channel where our content can add value to surrounding posts, informing and inspiring new generations of enthusiasts to get involved with their vehicles, wherever they’re located in the world. It also helps us target and extend reach to different customer segments and interest groups across a diverse community of bikers, car and truck owners.”

Jonathan Morris, CEO of DriveTribe, added “car maintenance and modifying conjures up images of technical manuals and a bygone era of car owners tinkering under the hood. But looking at the content generated on DriveTribe every day, we can see that the passion for automotive engineering is much more widespread and very much alive and thriving. Useful tips from amateurs sit side-by-side with detailed explanations from professionals, providing genuinely informative and accessible insights into areas as diverse as aerodynamics, body-care, drivetrains, superchargers and fuel systems. Whether you’re an engineering expert or not, the vertical has plenty to offer even those with a passing interest in how engines and vehicle technology works.

K&N has been an industry-leader in filtration technology since 1969, developing products to increase performance, protection, and longevity in thousands of vehicle applications. Over the years they have built a reputation for quality and high performance across a vast array of uses, including air filters to protect engines and increase performance, cabin air filters to keep vehicle interiors fresh and clean, and air intake systems to provide extra horsepower and torque.

  • I did and it's excellent. We've come a long way from the tin box perched on top of a carb and sucking in air from somewhere in the engine compartment.

There's so many variables in the quest for performance.

K&N must be doing something right. They've been around a long time.

  • I've used K&N air filters for motorcycles and cars for years. I just put a replacement filter in my daily driver Honda Fit. I live in the mountains so any performance mod shows up fast. My fuel economy is noticeably better. It all "feels" a little more responsive. Thanks, K&N, and welcome!
