Koenigsegg ends the vmax race. Jesko Absolut will remain the fastest car of the
Soon it' s going to fight for the title of the fastest production car. The maximum speed is estimated at... 330 mph.
A few days ago in Geneva there was a world premiere of two new Koenigsegg cars. There was unveiled the Gemera, the first 4-person grand tourer, and a new version of the Jesko, which is supposed to make the car the fastest road car in the world.
Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut has completely revised the aerodynamics so that the body is able to generate a pressure of 1400 kg and a drag coefficient of 0.278 Cd. This is to reach the best acceleration times and the highest top speed than any other Koenigsegg ever.
Exact figures and technical data have not been disclosed. As Christian von Koenigsegg pointed out during the press conference "only time can tell us". However, in an interview for Road and Track he revealed that according to computer simulations Jesko Absolut is able to accelerate to 330 mph (531 km/h).
Koenigsegg currently has a slot to test the Jesko Absolut parameters. Christian von Koenigsegg revealed that the 3-mile straight in Florida is too short and Jesko would be able to reach a maximum of 85% of his maximum speed. In addition, a test track in Germany with a 5.4-mile straight is private property of Volkswagen, where Bugatti cars are tested.
