Koenigsegg Names New Head Of Design
Now this man knows how to design cars.
In a recent Instagram post by Christian Von Koenigsegg we were introduced to Alexander (Sasha) Selipanov the brand's new head of design. Now it takes quite a resume to be Koenigsegg's head of design but Sasha more than meets the job description.
Sasha was educated at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California where he learned his trade and eventually landed a position at VW. Sasha briefly worked at Lamborghini where he assisted in the design of the Huracan.
The Huracan was one of his first pieces
He was then appointed as Head of Design at Bugatti and was responsible for the exterior design of the Chiron and Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo concept car. After an incredibly successful stint at Bugatti Sasha accepted a position as Head of Global Advanced Design at Genesis.

Today Sasha is now the Head of Design at Koenigsegg and Managing Director and Chief Designer at the newly established RAW Design House. Sasha explains his appreciation for the brand, “I have followed Koenigsegg’s path for years and have been a huge fan of the company’s free spirit and commitment to innovation. In today’s world, Koenigsegg’s story and achievements are unparalleled; I am honored to offer my professional expertise as well as my lifelong passion for sports cars to Koenigsegg.”
It's safe to say Sasha's career is one of pure inspiration, and one saturated with spellbinding cars. With Koenigsegg's continual push to produce the fastest cars in the world and chase that 300mph barrier, Sasha's involvement might be an absolute masterstroke.
I'm very excited to see what so of designs he's able to come up with.
