La Carrera Panamericana stage 6
Zacatecas to Durango with team 122
Day 6 is one of the most important as it has some of the longest stages. Leaving Zacatecas teams drive 7 timed speed stages including, El Espinazo del Diablo, the longest stage of the rally. After their coolant problem yesterday team 122 really needed a clear run, sadly that wasn't to be as they lost 2nd gear and were forced to return to the service area for repairs.

The mechanical failure meant they missed driving the evening stages and were therefore penalised with another 3mins 30seconds of penalties. This put them in 19th place on stage 6. The race isn't over yet though. Amazingly, because they drove so well earlier in the week, even with the penalties they have managed to hang on to 5th place overall and are still 3rd in their class (turismo mayor).
