Lamborghini are interested in making an EV to rival the Taycan
With the recent arrival of the Porsche Taycan, it was only a matter of time before other manufacturers were going to attempt to rival it. So far, the only real contender is the Tesla Model S, but let's face it, that's old news now.
This is where Lamborghini come in. Recently they ventured into hybrid technology with the Sian, but what if they were to make a fully electric Taycan rival?
Lamborghini are now said to want to bring out a fourth model to its line up, and it is likely to be an EV of some description which could even potentially sit on the Taycan platform.
Lamborghini R&D boss Maurizio Reggiani told Autocar: “If you look at the timing for a fourth model line, there is the potential that this will be the right time for a full-electric vehicle."
While, we won't see it until 2025, there is nothing wrong with drooling over what it could be like.
So, imagine this. You take a Taycan platform with some aid from the Sian and Lamborghini styling. Surely this would be a phenomenal thing? Expensive, but phenomenal. I imagine it would be styled a lot like the Urus but in a way that makes it perhaps more tasteful, with perhaps more Audi influence. It would feature a two + two seating plan also. If you want to know what it could look like, then you are best off having a look at the Lamborghini Estoque concept from a few years ago. We have a feeling it could look something like that.
