Lamborghini Aventador sales have officially ended
If you wanted one brand new, you can no longer get one straight from the factory
Yes, the rumours are true. According to GT Spirit, you can no longer purchase a brand new Aventador meaning the V12 Italian bull is finally dead. But it isn't all doom and gloom.
The end of the Aventador makes way for the next generation of the brand's flagship car due to arrive in 2023.
Coming last was the Aventador Ultimae – a great send-off for a great and very capable vehicle. The Aventador Ultimae was limited to 350 coupes and 250 roadsters and it looks like they're all sold out.
The Aventador Ultimae is powered by the same 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine as the regular one but has been. tuned to produce 780 hp and 531 lb-ft. According to Lamborghini it can hit 62 mph from a standstill in just 2.8 seconds and then onto a top speed of 221 mph, up from 217 mph.
As for the Aventador's successor, we believe it will launch towards the back-end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023. Reports suggest it will use a completely new V12 engine with some form of hybrid assistance – much like the Sian FKP37.
