Lamborghini Hurucan EVO

Is Lamborghini's Hurucan EVO really all that crazy?

1y ago

Now I know what you're thinking, its a Lamborghini of course its crazy but like before I get to my main point let me talk about the specs and the performance of Lambo's latest greatest machine.

Exterior Design

Lamborghini has decided to add a beautiful design with a functional purpose. There's a new larger front intake to channel air under and around the car to increase aerodynamics. The car also integrates a new rear diffuser, a small integrated spoiler and exhaust integrated above the diffuser next to the number plate almost similar to the Hurucan Performante. The car also has new set of 20' wheels to compliment the new crazier design.

Interior Design

In the interior the car is pretty similar to the standard car. The car features a new 8.4 inch touch screen on the dashboard to allow driver and passenger to run all the cars infotainment systems. The car also has alcantara, leather and carbon fiber materials to give the interior a striking sporty look.

Engine and Performance

The Hurucan EVO follows traditional Lamborghini roots by implementing a 5.2 litre naturally aspirated V10. This engine produces 640 horsepower and 560Nm of torque. The car can accelerate from 0-100km/h(0-62mph) in 2.9 seconds and will continue to a top speed of over 325km/h(201mph).

The Issue

Now this is a car that has power and performance of a supercar but the thing is, this car has has lost its edge. Yes, it's a 640hp V10 that sounds like Heaven but it's a bit dated now. When the original Hurucan came out it was competing against the Ferrari 458 and McLaren 650S and it had the power and price tag to run with these cars. But now in 2020, McLaren's 720 and Ferrari F8 Tributo are so much more expensive, powerful and faster that they're taking the fight to the Aventador while the Hurucan is having to compete with McLaren's GT and the Porsche 911 Turbo. But these are my own personal thoughts because at the end of the day the Hurucan is still a fantastic car.
