Lamborghini teases new windshield-less hypercar
l think Lamborghini took some inspiration from the Aventador J.
Lamborghini's motorsport division, Squadra Corse, released this photo of their latest, unnamed hypercar. However, we've done some more digging, and we now know a little bit more than that.
Lamborghini Essenza SCV12.
First and foremost, I mentioned that Lamborghini released this photo via their motorsport division, meaning that this car will one hell of a capable track-weapon, but you won't be able to take it on the road with all the other plebeians driving Nissan Sentras. It looks this open-top Lamborghini is based off the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12, another track-only raging bull.
The Essenza SCV12 makes upwards of 819 horsepower from a naturally-aspirated V12, Lamborghini's most powerful naturally-aspirated V12 to date. The windshield-lacking edition will most likely have the same engine.
While it does look like the test mule will be based off the Essenza SCV12, there's no denying the obvious Sian influence in the rear. The exhaust pipes, brake-lights, and splitter all look like they were copy-pasted from the Sian to the new kid on the block.
And given its place in the market, its competitors will include the Aston Martin Speedster the McLaren Elva, and the Ferrari SP2 Monza. It's competing in a rather niche market if you ask me, yet if you're in the market, and if you want a car unusable on roads with a missing windshield, you've got four stunning options.
