The Lambretta 125 F was launched with the same formula of the low selling price as the model E, but with some substantial improvements. The earlier model E was well known for it's chronic poor mechanical reliability. This was resolved partly by adopting a new flywheel and strengthening of the transmission bearings final, real achilles heel. A kick start was also introduced as opposed to a pull start, a much-hated system, which proved to be problematic.
Incredibly Innocenti continued to offer as an option for the new model F. Further improvements have taken in 125 F II series that stands out for the front fork type D, for the raised handlebar and the high-tension coil placed outside the flywheel. Even with undoubted qualities, the F is strongly affected by the bad legacy of 125 E; the market is now directed to models of superior technical characteristics and so the Lambretta F, after just over a year, will be removed from the lists.
