Land Rover Classic to build a one-off Defender for Selfridges centrepiece
It'll be on show for shoppers at their flagship store on Oxford Street, London.
In anticipation of the newly refurbished Selfridges shop in Oxford Street, London; shoppers were recently shocked to discover a Land Rover Defender chassis dangling from a heavy duty crane and delicately being guided in through the store's first floor window.
This one-off Defender is set to be the centrepiece of the menswear department store. First though, a team of experts carefully dismantled the classic and are now moving everything iside for it to be rebuilt and set in place ready for the grand opening on the 29th October.
This special 'Selfridges Edition' will feature a 405PS V8 that produces 515Nm of torque. It will also be finished with period-style seats with chocolate leather upholstery and ivory cross-stitching.
Tim Hannig, the Jaguar Land Rover Classic Director had this to say "The Selfridges Edition shows what can be achieved and we can’t wait to see it take pride of place in the famous department store."

Well, I'll take note now, so I don't have to ask "How on earth?"
Oh how fancy
Somehow the diesel exhaust vapours of the Mega Crane farting a Landy to the first floor, don't breath to well with pure London evening air of Oxford Street. I may have to cancel my order of 'Selridges' Pickled Gherkins'.
