The SSC Tuatara, a hypercar produced in Tri-Cities, Washington, is officially the fastest production car in the world, hitting a two-way average speed of 316.11 MPH (508.73 KPH). It maxed out in one direction at 301.07 (484.53) and in the other direction at 331.15 (532.93).

    The Mercedes-Maybach GLS costs $161,550 (£124,822/€137,260).

The Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid now produces 690bhp (up from 671bhp), which is identical to that of a 911 GT2 RS. It takes 3.2 seconds to hit 60 MPH and can go on to 196.

Hyundai's riposte to the Ford Fiesta ST is the i20N, which is powered by a 201bhp, 203 pound-feet 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine connected to a manual transmission. 0-60 is in 6.7 seconds and the top speed is 143 MPH. The "N Grin Control System" consists of Normal, Eco, Sport, N, and N Plus drive modes that alter engine response, ESC intervention, exhaust volume, and steering weight. Sales begin next spring.

The highly-anticipated GMC Hummer EV "ultimate off-road EV supertruck" is here, boasting 1,000bhp and 11,500 pound-feet of torque from three motors and a 0-60 time of approximately three seconds. GM's "Ultium" batteries allow for 350 miles of range and 350kW DC fast-charging replenishes 100 miles of range in a mere ten minutes. For maximum off-road capability, the Hummer EV comes with 35-inch tires (it's compatible with 37s), adaptive air suspension, an "Extract Mode" that can lift the body six inches, and thick underbody steel plating. A multitude of cameras provide 18 perspectives of the area around and beneath the truck, it can wade through two feet of water, and the removable roof panels can be stowed in the frunk. Four-wheel steering allows for a tighter turning circle and the ability ("CrabWalk") to drive diagonally, and the $112,595 Edition 1 (of which all 2022 models were sold out in ten minutes) has enhanced Super Cruise autonomous-driving technology. The EV3X arrives in Fall 2022, the EV2X arrives in Spring 2023, and the EV2 arrives in Spring 2024.

    Hummer EV2: $79,995/£61,320/€67,435 (two motors, 250-mile range, 625 horsepower, 7,400 pound-feet of torque)

    Hummer EV2X: $89,995/£68,985 /€75,865 (two motors, 300-mile range, 625 horsepower, 7,400 pound-feet of torque)

    Hummer EV3X: $99,995/£76,651/€84,295 (three motors, 350-mile range, 800 horsepower, 9,500 pound-feet of torque)

Hummer EV Edition 1: $112,595/£86,309/€94,917 (three motors, 350-mile range, 1,000 horsepower and 11,500 pound-feet of torque)

Audi will build 40 examples of the TT RS 40 Years of quattro, (officially with a lowercase "q") which is exclusive to Germany and costs €114,000 ($134,752/£103,016). It's mechanically identical to a fully-optioned TT RS, but is cosmetically distinctive.

Europeans who miss the Hyundai Veloster may take interest in the new Fiat 500 3+1, which has two doors on the right side and one on the other. This allows for easier access to the rear seat; it adds 30 kg (66 pounds), but Fiat says that agility and range are unaffected. For now, the 3+1 is available exclusively for the left-hand-drive market, and pricing has not been announced.

The footwear and men's apparel company Kith has partnered with BMW to create the M4 Competition X Kith, which has Kith logos on the seats, trunklid, center console, roof, and seatbacks. Just 150 units will be produced, with three matte color choices: Frozen Black, Frozen Dark Silver, and Frozen Brilliant White.

Yet another limited-run special edition, the MINI Cooper 1499 GT celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of the 1275 GT in a total of 150 examples for the US market--30 with a manual transmission and 120 with an automatic. The color scheme is reverse than of the 1275 GT, being black with gold stripes instead of gold with black stripes. It will cost $27,890 (£21,379/€23,511) and feature the Cooper's 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine, but will be fitted with John Cooper Works sports seats inside.
