Leaked: BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe Shows Up Online
BMW was planning a big reveal for the new 8 Series Gran Coupe in about a week. Unfortunately, someone decided that shouldn't be the case and released a couple of shots of the car on the world wide web already. Thus, we now get to see how the four-door coupe looks like ahead of time.
The pictures show the side profile of the car as well as the rear end. The one above shows the rear end and the frameless doors, a feature that will apparently live on after the 6 Series Gran Coupe is retired. The new model will be the longest and most expensive in the 8 Series range, and will also be made in M8 guise.
This will be a proper rival for the Porsche Panamera and I happen to think it also looks like it towards the rear, with a hump over the rear seats. That's probably done to make sure you don't have to be the headless horseman to ride in the back. Expect the full reveal to take place in about a month and the car to reach showrooms towards the end of the year. Thoughts?
