2020 is just around the corner, but LEGO is getting the party started with this R35 GTR Nismo from their Speed Champions line.

LEGO boasts that next year's new sets will be 25 per cent bigger and more realistic than previous Speed Champions cars. This GTR has about 300 pieces to put together and has an estimated one hour build time, or 20 minutes if you're a LEGO Maniac. Oh yeah, and it will only set you back a crisp $20 bill.

This is the first ever Nissan LEGO set, and the first ever LEGO model of a car from Japan. Extra attention was given to the development of the iconic quad-circle taillights. The exhaust tips and rear wing look incredible as well. Look for this Speed Champions set in January, 2020.

  • Looks nothing like a GTR. It's a box... Not that hard to pull off.

  • Sorry but that thing is really ugly. The proportions are not correct and the front looks too bulky. The wheels are too small and it is overloaded with stickers

  • The white headlight block with stickers could've been replaced with a transparent one to make it look realistic...The headlight sticker just seems too small....

    • This. I don’t know why LEGO doesn’t make those pieces clear.

    • Agreed. Honestly I didn’t realize that was the headlight the first time i saw the pic. That rear 3/4 angle tho...
