What little boy didn't run around the neighborhood playing Army? Pretending to shoot friends, sometimes going as far as using live BB guns. OK, the latter part was never supposed to get out, but you know what I mean.
Is it a bicycle? Is it a motorcycle? Yes.
I wish I could claim fame to building this reproduction Indian WWI era bike, but all I can say is I was in the right place at the right time. My good friend had built this bike a few years ago, starting from the frame of a random cruiser.
It's amazing what a can of flat camo green paint and leather bags can do.
When I expressed my desire to also build something like this my friend simply said, "I'll sell you mine, and I'll make it worth your while". When he offered to throw in the helmet and mortar launcher for the full effect, well that was all I needed to hear.
Don't look too closely, you'll recognize the motor is from the local Harbor Freight.
Though it has a leaky gas tank, an afternoon of soldering and a can of paint and we'll have this baby back humming again in no time.
