LEWIS HAMILTON SECURES HIS 96TH POLE POSITION IN SOCHI - RUSSIAN GP
Qualifying at Russia Today! As Lewis Hamilton gets Pole Position, and barely makes it after a tense Q2!
Lewis Hamilton secures his 96th Pole Position here at Sochi, Russia. Formula 1 for the first time this year travels over the Black Seas to have their first race in Asia. Making this the last race before the all the "iconic" tracks of Formula 1 are raced on!
Verstappen coming in second with Lewis's teammate Valterri Bottas in third. With a surprising Sergio Perez in fourth and with his best position set here in Sochi, Daniel Riccardo topping out the top five. Everyone expected Ricciardo to be higher since in Q2 Daniel set the fastest time and position, even though this certain track isn't Daniel's best. With Hamilton on the verge of going into Q3 as he couldn't secure a good time right at the end of Q2, due to the Ferrari crash. Lewis being able to go from 15th to 4th in Q2.

As he "Lost it in turn 2 and 4" which caused Vettel to spin out and crash, almost causing a collision with his teammate Charles Leclerc, who also failed to secure Q3. With many fans, and many spins, Russia gave us a surprisingly intriguing Qualifying to watch today. With the Sochi Grand Prix coming up tomorrow, expectations are low and put aside.
