Liberty Walk Lexus LC500: a real life batmobile?

If the LC500 wasn’t cool enough, this must make it ice cold.

Thanks to great styling, cleverly engineered tech and, once again, amazing styling, the Lexus LC500 immediately became a car petrolheads lust after when it was released in 2017. Three years after its unveiling, it’s still just as eye catching as ever.

That being said, it tends to draw attention thanks to a slightly passive shape which is the reason some tend to steer clear of buying one. However, Liberty Walk has changed all that with the body kit shown off in this video by HALCYON.

The car belongs to online personality, jaycray and is his second radically modified Lexus LC. Recently, he made the move from the LC350 to this more powerful LC500 which he had tuned by Liberty Walk for last year’s SEMA show. You can just imagine this beast fitting right in at SEMA surrounded by other equally mental builds.

Obviously, in true Liberty Walk fashion, the lines are massively accentuated such as the wheel arches which cover the widened wheel track. The bonnet has been redesigned with extra vents all pointing inward to the now iconic LC grille. The rear is dominated by the wing that looks like it creates more drag than every other part of the car combined, but it looks stunning so that makes up for what is surely 20mph less top speed.

The whole thing covered in a matte black skin makes it look even meaner. If the Dark Knight trilogy had been filmed today, I’m sure we would all find it absolutely normal to cast this exact car as the batmobile.

In the short video at least, the sound coming from the 5.0-litre naturally aspirated is incredible. From factory, there’s no denying the beauty of the LC500’s songful exhaust note, though there has definitely been work done to the exhaust system. In fact, compared to an unmodified car, it has a much deeper sound with more rumbles like an American muscle car.
