Like it or not, these are the best cars of 2019
Are these the best cars of this year?
2019 has been a very good year. While many expected it to be a year dominated with electric cars lacking in zeal, it hasn’t been that. Now it’s time to sit back and take a look at the best cars that have come out this year.
Just like every year this year also I sat down, with my pen, paper, iPad and laptop, pondering on my Top 10 cars of the year. After hours and hours of using the cerebrum of my brain, I looked at the list I prepared and said, “Whoa! I didn’t expect this year to give us so many good cars”. The list that I am going to present now is one of the finest I’ve prepared over a long period of time. The time has come to reflect on the 10 best cars to come out of a year that has given us all kinds of different cars.
While it may be seen as a family car by many, I think this is the most all-rounded car on the planet. Think of as many boxes as you can and it will tick all of them. The RS6 is just not a V8 fitted with a boot, it is a lot more than that. If you'd ask me to drive one, just one car for the rest of my life, it would be this.
Ariel Atom 4
From giving you bonkers excitement to dash design, the Atom 4 is a gem. You get so excited by just looking at it. Over the years the Atom has grown up and now I think it is at its best. The Atom 4 is a thoroughbred Ariel.
Land Rover Defender
I know that the Defender is surrounded by a lot of criticism but I think that Land Rover has done a great job. Yes, it is not as breathtaking as the original but the Defender is still a whole lot capable. Land Rover have managed to pull off one of the toughest jobs in automotive history.
Ford Focus ST
When I heard that the Focus was going to bear the ST badge, I thought that it would not be a success. I was possessed by the stereotype that the ST badge was just made for the Fiesta. It turns that I was wrong. The Focus ST is nearly invincible, it is virtually flawless. It injects in you a lot of confidence. The Focus ST, just like the RS6 is a well-rounded car.
Porsche 911 Speedster
The 911 Speedster was something that was not expected to materialize easily from paper to the road but here we are, talking about the 911 Speedster, a 911 that is the ultimate Swansong of the 991 generation, a generation I think is one of the finest the 911 badge has seen. This has got a naturally-aspirated (how often do you heard this word) flat-six that feeds the power to the rear wheels and you have a gear lever in your hand which is marked till six. The most relishing part of this swansong is that it gives us the glipmse that the N/A has a future not only in motorsport but also on the road. This warms the feelings of every car lover who doesn't care about polar bears.
Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato
Who thought that Lamborghini would make this? The Sterrato has to be one of the most unexpected Lamborghini of all-time. But I think that this is the perfect Lambo for modern world. This is a supercar that can tackle nearly anything. It blends that rich car culture with modern day scenarios. Bold, brash and wild, the Sterrato is one hell of a raging bull.
Ford Mustang Shelby GT500
Time for some Muscle car magic. You get the feel of an angry muscle car by just looking at the face of the GT500. The power in the face of the GT500 makes it look like a bad-boy. It joggles your senses with its power and grunt.
The most insane electric car ever made. This can crush any record. The way this car accelerates from a standstill to 125mph is mind boggling. Your head can even burst while driving it in full chat. And all this power is controlled by just one gear and two pedals. MIND=BLOWN
Renault Megane RS Trophy-R
The Megane RS is the most performance-oriented car of 2019. I know saying this for a hot-hatch is a bit weird but the Renault Megane RS Trophy-R is just that. The Megane R26.R needed a successor and I think that this the perfect successor for such a brilliant car. People might thing that £72k is a lot for this car but I think, that £72k is the perfect money for this car.
9 cars down, 1 remains and that car is my Car Of the Year. Whoop, holler, don't forgect the Drumroll My Car Of the Year 2019 is...
The Porsche Taycan - Porsche's first all electric car - has caught the eyes of many (not only Elon Musk). Many have applauded what Porsche have done and it truly is a great EV and a game-changer. The Taycan has been that car that has properly pulled Tesla's pants down. The Taycan has also layed some very important footprints that Porsche should follow on its way to glory in coming times. It is the torch-bearer for the company and its other models. You can use it for your school-runs and also for your European road-trips. The Taycan truly is the most important car in the company's history. The Taycan is the true game-changer and it will be soon be an icon.
