The production of the Mk3 Ford Focus RS will end with a special limited edition Mk3 RS in the colour Orange. The vehicle was spotted on UK roads over the past few days and we received an exclusive series photos, which you will be able to see in the gallery below.
At this stage it is unknown when the new Orange Edition will be available, if you as a customer can order it right now or if the price tag will be similar to the Race Red Edition which is limited to only 300 pieces and prized at £36,295.
Looking at the photos we received, we noticed a number of changes with regards to the Red Edition. Next to the Orange exterior paint, the Focus rolls on the 19-inch black cast alloy wheels. We are unaware if the vehicle will also be available on the optional forged items. There is no contrasting black roof, but do you have the black door mirrors and rear wing. The four-piston Brembo brake calipers are blue, not dark grey like the Red Edition.
Inside, the Orange Red Edition we spotted the half leather Recaro seats. We expect the carbon fibre trim around the interior to be standard. That means the bezels around the auxiliary dials, the door handles and the handbrake lever would be dressed in the lightweight material.
Mechanically, the special editions seem to be offering the same power as the basic Focus RS. The 2.3-litre four-cylinder EcoBoost engine is expected to have a power output of 345 bhp and 347 lb-ft and a six-speed manual gearbox.
Ford UK stated to our team that they will not deny that it’s coming to the UK only over the coming period. They couldn't comment on when it would hit UK shores in 2018.
