Back in 1996, Lamborghini produced a number of Diablo race cars to compete in a one-make race series. Through this, the Italian manufacturer produced their first, factory made race car, the Diablo SV R.

As it was built to race car specifications, there was no need to add a catalytic converter, or muffler on the exhaust to meet noise restrictions. Instead, you can hear the V12 mounted behind the driver's seat in it's full glory.

The 5.7L V12 had it's power increased from the standard SV to 540BHP, reaching 60MPH from a standstill in 3.7 seconds, and weighed 180KG less than the SV too. Just 31 SV Rs were built for the original Super Trofeo Series in 1996.
