Lister Is Back And This Time They're Modifying Jaguar's New F-Type
Remember Lister? No? Well for those of you who don't recognize the name they are a British car firm that has a history of making strange but fast machines. In the 50's and 60's they built cars from the parts bin of other companies. They then took a couple decades off before launching the bonkers Storm. The storm featured a 7.0 liter V12 sourced from Jaguar. Lister then took their creation and built a race car out of it.
The Storm's V12 produced 600 horsepower and made this one of the most extreme cars of its era. Lister hasn't really launched a new car since. Preferring to sit back and restore their existing cars as well as building reproduction models of some of their classics. Fortunately for you Lister fans out there Lister is back and their latest machine will be based around Jaguar's phenomenal F-Type.
Their new car will produce 666 horsepower and have a 208 mph top speed. The Thunder, as they're calling it will also get to 62 mph in just 3.2 seconds. No word on the styling or what exactly has been done to the engine to give it the extra grunt but given Lister's past I'm sure this is going to be one extreme machine.
