Lister partners with Jaguar to create a 666hp British monster
Jaguar and Lister have rekindled their historical partnership and have come together once again to create a new car in the shape of an F-Type, but with a few changes. It may look like the original, but don't be fooled. This big cat has a few tweaks that you'll love.
Much like Alpina to BMW and Brabus to AMG, Lister has been a sister company to Jaguar that dates back to the 1950s, starting with the famous Jaguar D-Type. Over the years the company has toyed with a few different marques including Maserati and MG but also designed, built and created its very own cars including a Le Mans type endurance race car back in 2005.
Dubbed as the Lister Thunder, it will be the company's fastest and most powerful car which boasts 666hp from a beefy 5.0-litre V8 engine taken directly from the original F-Type model. Thanks to the huge amount of power on tap, the Thunder chews up 0-60mph in just over 3 seconds and will rocket onto a top speed of over 200mph.
Lister have also added some aggressive visual enhancements like a redesigned front bumper with a larger splitter, bonnet vents and larger wheels. Instantly the green accents are apparent and are continued throughout the interior of the car too, almost like a trademark decal. Fine leather adorns the cabin with embossed seat head rests and quilted sport seats.
It's not all good news though. The Thunder will be limited to just 99 units with a price tag of £140,000 meaning it's out of reach for the majority of us and will no doubtfully rise in value over the coming years as a collectible asset.
