Linda Vaughn is known as the First Lady of Motorsports and was the public face for Hurst Shifters for more than two decades. With automotive journalist and colleague Rob Kinnan, Linda has penned her long awaited autobiography, Linda Vaughn: The First Lady of Motorsports, of her more than 50 years in the US automotive and motorsports scene.

After suffering a heart attack and not currently driving, I was asked to drive Linda to her book signing on Saturday, November 26 at Autobooks Aerobooks in Burbank, California. I will be doing a 60 minute Facebook Live broadcast as we drive up Interstate 5, starting at 8AM PST (4PM GMT).

You can watch the broadcast live on my Facebook page ( starting at 4PM GMT. It will be posted later on Saturday in the Automotive Traveler tribe.

  • The live stream turned out well except for one thing. Since Linda talked continuously for more than 100 minutes, she drained the fully charged battery on my Motorola 4G+. But the conversation is totally spontaneous and in many cases, she tells things about the men in her life. It was a real honor to share the the time with her.

As soon as I figure out were the file is saved and how to get it posted to YouTube and here, I'll add to this thread.
