When you think of Manhattan, you think of shimmering lights, towering buildings, and unforgettable scenery unlike anywhere in the world. Well, you can now add Lucid Motors to that list.

Lucid Motors, creators of the stunning Lucid Air, announced today that they are opening their first Studio in New York. More specifically, the Studio is located Meatpacking district, a district that has seen massive attention over the past years. Once a location of you guessed it, meatpacking factories, the district has become a place for world-renown architects to stamp their design into a vibrant part of the already lively city of New York City.

The Studio opens its doors to the public on Saturday, June 26th. Once there, you're in for a treat. Lucid teamed up with architectural firm Marmol Radziner to help put their contemporary flagship Studio into fruition. Not only will you have hands-on access to three different Lucid Air models, but you'll also be able to revel in the modern environment of the Studio.

Inside, you'll be greeted by three Lucid Air Models: the Lucid Air Pure ($69,900), Lucid Air Touring ($87,500), and Lucid Air Grand Touring ($131,500). Here, you'll be able to get a first-hand view of what Lucid Motors has been up to, as well as ask any questions you may have.

Due to New York law, Lucid can't sell you a Lucid Air in the Studio, as electric manufacturers are forbidden to sell their cars directly to consumers. However, that was never really the point of Studio. It's more of a showcase of what Lucid is about, and what future customers can expect from a future purchase.

For those of you who can't make it to the Studio in Manhattan, Lucid also offers a virtual experience, dubbed the Lucid Studio Live. This gives interested parties a chance to be immersed in a digital tour via one of Lucid's representatives in the comfort of their own home.

The Manhattan Lucid Studio, located at 2 Ninth Avenue, is opening Saturday, June 26th, and is among 11 new Studios being opened in 2021.

  • Why cant OEMs sell direct? The current dealership model provides almost zero value at this point?

  • A lot of those design lines remind me of a Tesla only cooler.

  • I just hope the car is as beautiful in person as it is in pictures. It may (just may) lean me towards getting one.
