Mad scientist has combined a Fox Body Mustang and a Ferrari F40
In the world of car mashups there are some tremendously poor examples. The first one that comes to mind, and should come to everyone's mind, is the now infamous Ferrari box over a car.
Yikes. That's bad, but hilarious. Other versions and mashups aren't terrible at all and look pretty slick. My favorite one is the Vaydor kit for the Infiniti G35/37. It transforms a normal G35/37 and gives it supercar looks.
The newest car mashup is something I spotted online yesterday and to he perfectly honest, it doesn't look half bad. But when you hear "Fox Body Mustang mixed with Ferrari F40," you may cringe. However, you'd be wrong because this looks clean and well thought out.
Created by Abimelec Arellano, an Automotive Artist/Concept Artist/Designer hailing from Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, came up with the concept after talking about it with a friend. It's a cool design and the attention to detail is very good. You can check out the original FB post about it below.
One commenter said it looks like an old Group-B rally car and I don't disagree. The box-flared wheel arches give it a certain 80s rally feel. The front is good, but the back end is the best part. I love how the F40 wing melds seamlessly into the Mustang's rear quarters. This is done well enough that it looks like a real body kit you can get for the Fox Body 'Stang. I'd buy it for the sheer uniqueness alone.
Great design! Check out more of Abimelec Design, right here. Do you guys like it?
