MAGNUM RETURNS ... AND HE WANTED TO CHANGE FERRARI ! (SACRILEGE !!!!.... OR NOT)

Exit the legendary Ferrari 308 GTS ? Not quite...

When we talk about the mythical cars of cinema or television, some names come back all the time: the Aston Martin of James Bond obviously, the Ford Mustang of Steve McQueen in Bullitt, the Ford Gran Torino of Starsky & Hutch, the Pontiac Firebird of K2000 ... Without forgetting the legendary Ferrari 308 GTS Magnum! And precisely, of Magnum, it is again question since the series will not be long to return to the television in a remake with the modern sauce!

If the news had already been announced late last year, the time has come to discover the official trailer. And you can imagine, the famous Tom Selleck, the incarnation of the Hawaiian detective Thomas Sullivan Magnum from 1980 to 1988, who is now 74 years old has been replaced. Actor Jay Hernandez takes over the torch. But if one is happy to find Magnum, fans of the series will immediately notice that some symbols disappear. The moustache. And the Ferrari 308 GTS!

On the first images, the American actor of Mexican origin, especially seen in Suicide Squad in 2016, shows himself in a Ferrari red and convertible, but it is a 458 Spider. Sacrilege? Not really. In reality, when we advance in the trailer, we quickly understand that it is a lure and that the 458 Spider does not fizzle in the series, quickly replaced by ... a 308 GTS Quattrovalvole! Phew, honor is safe!

And we quickly understand that the car is once again a special place in the reboot Magnum when we know that the director of the series is none other than Justin Lin, the director of Fast & Furious 4, 5 and 6 ! And if that's not enough action level, know that writers Peter Lenkov and Eric Guggenheim have operated on the remakes of MacGyver and Hawaii State Police.

The Magnum series, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, is scheduled to return to the screens in the fall on the American channel CBS.

  • They really should use a modern Ferrari. Portofino maybe. Using the 308 again would be like if old school magnum drove a 60s California. Nice but inappropriate
