Maini, Ahmed, Verschoor among names added to 2019 Macau GP entry list

The FIA has released the final list for the 2019 Macau GP which is provisional still as it features the likes of Arjun Maini, Enaam Ahmed, Richard Verschoor and more.

An initial list of drivers was already released by the FIA last month for the 2019 Macau GP which carried names of majority drivers with only few seats left to be filled. There was one change from the original list, with Prema being forced to replace Jehan Daruvala.

The Indian was ruled out due to a knee surgery as the team replaced him with Frederik Vesti. At the same time, FormulaRapida.net broke the news of Sophia Floersch returning to Macau GP after last year's incident, with HWA Racelab.

The news was confirmed on Friday with Keyvan Andres named as the third driver alongside Floersch and Jake Hughes. In addition to the above names, the FIA published a final list - albeit provisional - of 30 racers for the 2019 Macau GP.

Just like Callum Ilott and Ferdinand Habsburg, the F3 World Cup will also see a return of Maini with Jenzer Motorsport. The Indian did not take part in 2018 as he graduated to F2, while he then moved to European Le Mans Series in 2019.

The Indian compete in few F2 rounds in 2019 but largely focused on ELMS. He will be spending more time in Asia after being confirmed to compete in Asian Le Mans as well. He joins Charles Leong and Andreas Estner to complete the team's Macau GP line-up.

In the same way Trident completed its line-up with Alessio Lorandi joining Oliver Caldwell and David Beckmann. The Italian raced in GP3 Series in 2018 but did not move to F2 and didn't race in F3 either, thereby Macau GP will his return to racing.

Apart the above two teams, MP Motorsport named its three drivers with Red Bull junior Liam Lawson and Verschoor leading the charge alongside Euroformula Open racer Lukas Dunner. The former two already raced with MP Motorsport in F3 this year.

Campos Racing was the final team to form its line-up, with Leonardo Pulcini leading the outfit alongside Ahmed and Alessio Deledda. The Italian is switched from Hitech GP to Campos, while Ahmed getting back to European team after Japanese F3 stint.
