Reflecting on its first season in international GT racing, we’ve gathered some fascinating facts and improbable figures behind our mid-engine marvel
The 911 RSR, which the Porsche GT Team campaigned in this year’s World Endurance Championship and in the US IMSA series, was a completely new development. The key feature, of course, was the positioning of the engine in front of the rear axle. This improved weight distribution, which in turn reduced tyre wear, but the real goal was more space to fit that gigantic rear diffuser for a mighty increase in downforce.
