Thanks to rock solid existing engine development for the 911 GT3 R, the new RSR motor ran for the first time on the test bench after only seven months.

Full-scale endurance runs began just shy of a year, including two 70-hour long runs under different simulated weather conditions.

All up, the engine of the 911 RSR withstood over 300 hours of endurance runs.
