In a bid to reduce time in the pits, the new 911 RSR’s serviceability was significantly improved. Changes to the suspension setup could be performed much more quickly and easily, and, if necessary, entire elements of the carbon-fibre body exchanged in no time thanks to new quick-release fasteners.
A door, for example, could now be replaced within just 15 seconds, and a whole front bumper with underbody swapped out in less than a minute.
