Man crashes £250,000 Porsche GT2 RS minutes after collection
Imagine this. You have been saving up for years to finally buy your way into supercar ownership. You finally pick up that car and crash it a few minutes after. Well, try talking to this very unfortunate man.
This brand new Porsche GT2 RS owner had just picked his new car up from the Porsche showroom in Penarth, Cardiff when things went a little bit wrong. After only being with the car for a few minutes, it was involved in a 5 car pile up just down the road.
As you can see from the photos, the car is pretty badly damaged. Luckily no injuries were reported whatsoever but I think it's pretty safe to say that the owner won't be driving that car any further. We do not know what other cars were involved or what exactly happened (i.e. who was at fault), but it looks nasty.
A witness, Hywel Williams said: "The guy had only just picked it up from Porsche around the corner and he claimed the brakes failed." To be honest, I find it highly unlikely the carbon ceramic brakes failed him but you never know what could have happened.
