Mario Comes To Google Maps!
The much-loved video game character will guide you through your journey on Google Maps! Is this a precursor to the Mario Kart app release?

It's the 10th of March, which as everyone (no one) knows, means it's Mario time!
(March 10 = Mar10 = Mario. Clever, huh?)
Google Maps users on iOS and Android are already seeing a pop-up, as above, offering them the chance to brighten up their journey with some good old-fashioned Nintendo joy.
Once the 'Let's-a-go!' button has been tapped, Mario provides a turn-by-turn guide of the navigation.
If you don't get the pop-up, simply click the yellow '?' icon in the bottom-right corner when you've entered your destination, and Mario will be delighted to steer you in the right direction.
I suspect that this fun little stunt might have something to do with the promotion of the upcoming Mario Kart mobile app - but that's no reason not to revel in the colourful ecstasy of Japanese gaming!
There's even an Easter egg for particularly eager Maps-using Mario fans - if you tap the question mark 100 times in a row, you'll hear the unmistakable 1-up sound from the game.
Enjoy!
