MARTY - A driverless drifting DeLorean

You read this correctly, this is a driverless DeLorean that also drifts. The Stanford engineers (students) have started a project by creating a driverless DeLorean called MARTY. As part of their project they are improving autonomous software. This part of improving the autonomous software is also improving accident avoidance techniques and this brought them to teaching the car Ken Block or Vahn Gittin Jr levels of drifting. They have successfully tested it over a 1 km course called MARTYkhana.

My fears of rise of the machines does play a major factor of me not liking it. But it looks like a lot of fun and it is brilliant. Enjoy!
