Maserati previews 2022 Granturismo in latest teasers
Once again, the Italian car manufacturer has revealed spy shots of its own car
It seems like an age since the Maserati Granturismo was unveiled. Maserati knows that and it is working on the all-new 2022 Granturismo. The Italian manufacturer has released some spy shots and a teaser clip of the all-new Granturismo.
The Granturismo will be the brand's first fully electric model. However, it will also be offered with Maserati’s Nettuno V6, also seen in the MC20. While we don't know the specs of the electric models, we do know that the V6 produces 621 horsepower and 538 pound-feet of torque.
From the images we can see that the Granturismo will get lights similar to the ones found in the MC20. Eagle-eyed viewers will also spot that the car also has a rounder grille than its predecessor and has larger intakes as well.
Right now the prototype cars are undergoing rigorous testing on road and track while we are told that will have “a distinctive sound, already a unique attribute of all Maserati cars equipped with traditional combustion engines”. The Granturismo is expected to be launched early next year.
