Massive Bronco sales signal Ford's long-awaited brand revival
Ford's strong push for new and exciting products is showing results in the form of exceedingly strong sales
Ford is on a mission from god.
After a tumultuous decade, America's flagship automaker is in full swing as it tries to maintain its relevance in a rapidly-changing market. Yet, despite stiff competition from the likes of Tesla, Ford's mission to rejuvenate appears to be going well.
With the first quarter of 2021 coming to a close, sales of Ford's flagship products have skyrocketed. With strong showings from the new Mustang Mach-E, F-150, and even Lincoln's new range of updated SUVs. But by far, the biggest hit of 2021 has been the long-awaited Bronco.
Sales of the 'retro' compact SUV have been nothing short of astounding, with customers lining up in droves to buy these things. This past quarter saw just over 23,000 sales of the Bronco Sport, but notably, over 125,000 early Bronco reservations have now been converted into actual orders.
Both the Bronco and Mustang Mach-E are hugely important products for Ford. The Detroit automaker has in recent times been resigned to the pile of "inevitable extinction." But as it's done many times before, Ford's latest offerings show us that the Blue Oval can still excite consumers, even when competition from other automakers is at its fiercest.
The Mustang Mach-E also gives reason for excitement, as, after generally positive initial reviews, over 7,000 units of the all-electric SUV have been sold to customers. And as Ford continues to push the brand revival of Lincoln alongside Rivian, we have much to look forward to in the automotive world.
