Matthias Heiderich

I've been a huge fan of Matthias Heiderich's work for some time now. A self taught photographer from Berlin. I'm always blown away at how he captures what can often be described as pretty average everyday subjects, rooftops, warehouses, pavements, stairs a tree, but Matthias Heiderich brings joy and colour into our lives in such an astonishing way. The interesting thing about his photographs is not just the bright vivid colours of the buildings that he has a strong knack for picking out, but perhaps the dramatic change of tone as you switch from one project to the next. His latest work 'Nowhere in Particular II' are shots taken whilst on a road trip during a road trip through British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Wyoming between September and November 2015.
